Ritsurin Garden can be found in the city of Takamatsu, in the Kagawa prefecture. In truth we were only in Takamatsu to visit Naoshima and Teshima island, but I’m glad we came as we got to visit this garden.
Risturin Garden is one of the most famous in Japan and I can certainly see why. It’s a relatively large Japanese garden with many different areas to it, including a tea house and a folk museum.
I would guess the two best times to visit would be in spring, during cherry blossom, and during autumn. We visited during autumn and it did not disappoint. It’s an incredibly beautiful park that’s definitely worth a visit if you are off to Naoshima or anywhere in the area.
