To celebrate the momentous occasion we spent three days in Kyoto, a city that we were familiar with and therefore able to enjoy at ease.
We stayed at the very charming Ace Hotel, a place that is quite special to us — we used to spend time at the New York location when we were still in a long-distance relationship.
Though I had to push the trip to a week later thanks to covid, we did manage to catch the last of the city’s cherry blossom and the weather turned out to be pretty incredible, especially when compared to the previous weekend’s gloom.
Kyoto is a wonderful place that will always have a special place in our hearts, even more-so now than ever.
