After spending four years in Tokyo, we finally had the chance to explore Sayako's hometown prefecture during her favourite month, which is summer. Summer in Japan brings numerous festivals, and Aomori, located in the north, offers a welcome relief from the scorching heat of Tokyo. Here are some snapshots from our 10-day trip, where we visited family, attended festivals, and explored the scenic wonders of Aomori.
